Six in ten teens who say they had sex wish they had waited. (National Campaign) Don't be one of the six — wait and make an informed choice when you are ready. Talk to a parent or other trusted adult and find out the facts.
Youth today have a lot to deal with, pressures to be good in school, to be a good friend or family member and to make choices when faced with peer pressure related to drugs, drinking, sex and other choices. The right or wrong choice can have long lasting consequences in your life.
Raymond Coalition for Youth can help. Get involved, stay informed, and make more positive choices for your life.
Help a friend do the same. Here are some resources you may need.
Here's a listing of our youth groups.
High School Youth Group
The Youth Group is geared towards high school aged youth. The students meet twice a month to discuss current topics and issues that affect their lives. The group works together to identify needs for change and develop solution activities that will address the issues and connect with their peer age group. They work to promote positive healthy behaviors and carry out events that are beneficial to their community. Some of which include, but are not limited to, participating in the NH Safety Belt Challenge, Kick Butts Day, Red Ribbon week, High School Clean up day, a toy drive and middle school dances.
Middle School Youth Advisory Group
A relatively new group, the focus of this group is to bring a voice to the middle school age group of our youth population. This group of students meets monthly. They discuss how substance abuse affects them at school and home and discuss and develop positive ways to effectively deal with these pressures. The main focus of this group is to promote healthy positive choices.
After School - Club City
The After School Club City was developed to provide a safe and enriching program for the middle school aged youth. This is a flexible after school program that has grown in popularity both with the youth and their parents/guardians. The program has a core daily format mixing study time, activity time, usually some sports, conversation and just plain fun time. Some traveling activities and guest activity presenters are mingled into the schedule to keep the youth engaged and coming back! There is a charge for this program, pleas contact the RCFY main number for details on how to register and fees associated with this program.
